Review Policy

Reviews should help people make informed decisions

CoreMatch protects room for honest feedback while setting clear rules against fabricated, manipulated, unsafe, or privacy-invasive content.

Effective September 15, 2026

CoreMatch is operated by EdgeiT Marketing. These policies apply to the CoreMatch website, accounts, marketplace tools, and related communications.

1. CoreMatch reviews

A CoreMatch review may be submitted only by the homeowner tied to a Request that the database records as awarded. This transaction requirement helps distinguish first-party marketplace reviews from general endorsements. A completed award does not prove every statement in a review, and users should evaluate reviews in context.

2. Honest experience required

  • Reviews must reflect the reviewer's genuine experience and may be positive, neutral, or negative.
  • Do not submit reviews for your own business, a competitor, a family member, or an experience in which you have an undisclosed material relationship.
  • Do not buy, sell, fabricate, automate, coordinate, or trade reviews.
  • Any permitted incentive must be disclosed, offered without conditioning it on positive sentiment, and comply with applicable law and provider rules.

3. Prohibited content

  • Threats, harassment, hate, doxxing, or instructions for unlawful or dangerous activity.
  • Private addresses, access codes, insurance policy numbers, financial details, medical details, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
  • Knowingly false statements, impersonation, irrelevant promotion, spam, malware, or content that infringes another person's rights.
  • Confidential contract material or images you are not authorized to publish.

4. Fair moderation

EdgeiT Marketing may investigate, label, restrict, or remove content for authenticity, privacy, relevance, safety, intellectual-property, or legal reasons. We do not promise to remove an honest negative review merely because a business disputes it, and we do not give more favorable moderation based on subscription tier or advertising spend.

A contractor may provide a professional public response where the feature is available, but must not reveal private homeowner information or retaliate against the reviewer.

5. Google Maps and Yelp content

External ratings and review excerpts are supplied by the identified provider, not written or verified by CoreMatch. Provider-selected ordering, availability, review count, and content may change. CoreMatch displays provider attribution and links users to the source; the provider's own terms and privacy policy apply to that content.

6. Demo content

Fictional beta profiles and any associated sample content are labeled as demo material. Demo content must not be presented as a genuine customer endorsement, business rating, or verified contractor transaction and is excluded from public search indexing where technically supported.

7. Reports and appeals

Report a review with the specific policy reason and supporting context using the legal contact below. The author or affected business may request reconsideration of a moderation decision. We may retain a restricted copy when reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, disputes, or legal compliance.

8. Changes

We may update this Policy as review features, provider requirements, or law changes. Material changes will be posted with a new effective date and reasonable notice where required.
